Description

Globaltic Oak Lump Charcoal is made from European oak hardwood with no additional ingredients. Denser than birch, with a longer burn and a higher peak — the step-up lumpwood for chefs and serious home cooks. Perfect for high-temperature searing and long, controlled cooks in traditional smokers, ceramic grills, and asado rigs.

How chefs use Oak — the powerbase-plus-lumpwood cook

The Globaltic recommended setup for restaurant service and serious home cooks: use a briquette (HazelHex or Hex) as the powerbase — the long, stable heat foundation of the fire — and layer Oak lumpwood on top for the extra sear temperature and wood-flavour character. You get the longevity of a briquette and the flavour and top-end heat of lumpwood in one cook.
