Let’s have a look at the most popular sauces!
Choosing the sauce for your meat can be a headache. And today I decided to share with you two classic recipes for sauces. These sauces will help enrich the taste of your meat.
The first one sauce which I would like to talk about is the “king” of sauces for grilled meat - Barbecue sauce. This sauce is easy to cook and you need only 15 minutes of your precious time. You can use it with meat, chicken ribs and even salads.
What do you need?
- 2 cups of your favourite ketchup.
- 1 cup of apple cider vinegar.
- ½ of brown sugar.
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- ¼ teaspoon of hot sauce (this is optional and just if you like that spicy touch).
- 1 teaspoon of BK Perfect Barbecue Spice Rub seasoning
How to cook it?
Mix all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Heat your sauce until bubbles and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer until thickened for about 10 minutes in a meagre fire. You can serve it immediately or slightly cooled. This sauce can last a week in the fridge in a glass container.
The second one of my favorite sauces is Chimichurri sauce. This sauce from South American cuisine is an ideal supplement to your grilled steaks.
What do you need?
- 1 cup of fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped (If you don’t like the strong flavour of garlic, just add 2)
- 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp red or white wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
How to cook it?
You just need to mix all ingredients in a bowl. If you prepare this sauce just before you eat it, let it sit for 5–10 minutes to release more flavor into the oil. It is better to cook this sauce earlier and refrigerate for a minimum of two hours.
